How to Use
Best workflow for KaraokeSubs
KaraokeSubs works best when your captions are split into the shortest possible segments — ideally one word at a time — so each word has precise timing for animation.
Recommended workflow
- Open the Text panel in Premiere Pro
- Use Transcribe to generate your transcript
- Create Captions from that transcript
- Keep the captions as short as possible for better word timing
- Export the captions as an SRT file
- Import that SRT into KaraokeSubs
- Choose a preset, customize the style, and generate subtitles
Best caption settings
For the most accurate animated subtitles, use the smallest caption chunks possible.
- Prefer the shortest caption length available
- Keep timing split into very small pieces
- One word per caption segment is ideal when possible
This gives KaraokeSubs more precise timing for word-by-word animation.
Export the SRT
After your captions are ready in Premiere Pro, export or save them as an SRT file.
That SRT becomes the timing source you import into KaraokeSubs.
Import into KaraokeSubs
- Open KaraokeSubs in Premiere Pro
- Import your SRT file
- Choose a preset
- Adjust the look if needed
- Click Generate Subtitles
If subtitle timing feels off
The most common reason is that the source captions are too long.
- Use shorter caption segments
- Re-export the SRT
- Import the new SRT into KaraokeSubs
