How to install KaraokeSubs

For Mac users

1. Quit Premiere Pro before installing the plugin.
2. Copy the full KaraokeSubs folder to:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/

Final expected path:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/KaraokeSubs

Open Terminal and run:

defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.11 PlayerDebugMode 1
defaults write com.adobe.CSXS.12 PlayerDebugMode 1

If one of those versions does not exist on your machine, that is fine.

For Windows users

1. Close Premiere Pro before installing the plugin.
2. Copy the full KaraokeSubs folder to:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\

Final expected path:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\KaraokeSubs

Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:

reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.11 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f
reg add HKCU\Software\Adobe\CSXS.12 /v PlayerDebugMode /t REG_SZ /d 1 /f

Open KaraokeSubs in Premiere Pro

Start Premiere Pro, then go to:

Window → Extensions → KaraokeSubs

Activate your license

1. Open the Settings tab
2. Paste your license key from the purchase email
3. Click Activate License

First run

Recommended first run:

• import your SRT
• choose a preset
• preview the style
• click Generate Subtitles

If something does not work

• confirm the plugin folder is in the correct CEP extensions folder
• confirm CEP debug mode is enabled
• fully restart Premiere Pro
• make sure you pasted the full license key from the purchase email
